Research interests:

Rylene-based anticancer agents for cancer imaging and therapy

Design/synthesis of fluorescent molecules for bioimaging and gene delivery

Synthesis and bio-application of organic/inorganic core-shell nanoparticles

Self-assembly of fluorescent molecules and biomolecules

 

Research field

Professor Yin constructed new functional fluorescent topological macromolecular materials and explored their biological applications including: bio-imaging, cancer therapy, ultra-sensitive detection and fluorescent nano-carrier for agricultural pest control.

Professor Yin developed a variety of fluorescent molecules for specific labelling of different organelles and cancer therapy. She brought up this new idea of using fluorescent nano carriers for gene/drug/protein delivery in pest control. This environmental friendly methodology opened up a new gate for biological control. Apart from that, she also focused on the construction of rylene based anticancer agents for cancer theranostics, including fluorescent/photoacoustic imaging, cancer chemotherapy, photodynamic and photothermal therapy. Her work promoted the development of bio-imaging and antitumor research.

Prof. Dr. Meizhen Yin has published nearly 80 papers as first/corresponding author in high ranking journals such as Chem. Soc. Rev., Prog. Polym. Sci., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., ACS Nano, Adv. Funct. Mater. and so on. Her research work was highlighted by “Nature Materials”, “The Latest Science”, “Chemistry World” and other academic journals. She has 2 authorized international patents and 18 authorized Chinese patents.
